Seaton Tramway is a heritage electric tramway running three miles along the Axe Estuary between Seaton, Colyford and Colyton and dogs are welcome on board. Your dog can travel with you on all services, enjoying the riverside route and estuary views from the lower deck of the historic trams. It's an easy, all-weather day out within reach of Lyme Regis and you'll find stations at each end with facilities and covered waiting areas.
The tramway runs a regular timetable year-round, with tickets available from the official portal or at the stations. Dogs must travel on the lower decks of double-decker trams, keeping the upper levels accessible for all passengers. There's space for leads and bags and the relaxed pace makes it a surprisingly calm experience even for first-time tram travellers.
Note that Seaton Wetlands nature reserve, though nearby, does not permit dogs. Stick to the tram route and the stations for a straightforward outing that keeps everyone together, dry and entertained without the need for muddy walks or complicated logistics.
