That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Secret Garden at Quex Park has more of a hidden-gem feel than a big retail garden centre, tucked within historic Victorian walls and leaning into a calmer, browse-friendly atmosphere. It is a family-run nursery and garden centre with plants, garden accessories, gifts and strong reviews for knowledgeable, helpful service. A good stop for people who like garden centres with more charm, less warehouse feeling and a proper sense of place.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside, so this is a proper plant-browsing outing rather than a “one of us waits outside” situation. Expect leafy aisles, a few highly unnecessary but fully justified purchases, and a dog who acts like they personally approved the whole garden centre.
