Selworthy

Selworthy is a classic National Trust village on the Holnicote Estate, just a few miles from Minehead. The picture-postcard village green, thatched cottages and woodland combes make it a popular stop for dog walkers exploring Exmoor's gentler corners.

Dogs are welcome on leads on the paths around the village green and under close control on the footpaths that climb through the combes above. It's an open-access estate destination with no fixed opening hours, so you can visit when it suits your schedule and your dog's sniff-and-explore agenda.

The National Trust references a small car park at Selworthy with overflow parking when needed. There's a tea room nearby, though no confirmation that ordinary pet dogs are welcome inside, so plan for an outdoor visit and bring the usual lead-and-bag kit for the footpaths.
