Skipton Boat Trips offers canal cruises and self-drive boat hire from the canal basin in Skipton, putting you and your dog at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales gateway without leaving anyone behind.

Dogs must stay on a lead throughout the trip and it's worth knowing that boarding involves steps and cobbled areas around the wharf. On cruises where food is served, only service dogs are permitted, so check the trip type when you book if you're travelling with your own dog. The departure point is at The Wharf Office on Coach Street and the business is open daily from 9am to 5pm.

The nearest car park is Coach Street Car Park, a short walk from the boarding area. The practical advantage is the clarity: dog owners can plan around the access that is confirmed without guessing at the gate.
