Smugglers at The Queens Head

Smugglers at The Queens Head is a coastal pub and restaurant on Front Street in Cullercoats, just along the shoreline from Whitley Bay, where dogs are welcome inside. It's a contemporary stop for drinks and food with the whole group, and your dog can settle in at the table while you eat.

The kitchen serves food Monday to Saturday from noon until 8pm and Sunday noon to 5pm. The pub itself is open daily from noon until 11pm, so there's plenty of time to drop in after a beach walk or before heading back along the coast. A free customer car park sits behind the building, which is handy given how tight coastal parking can get.

Dogs are welcome throughout, making it a genuinely useful coastal option when you want a proper sit-down meal in a relaxed atmosphere without leaving anyone outside on the pavement.
