Snipe Dales

Snipe Dales is a Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust country park and nature reserve about a 10-minute drive from Horncastle, offering three trails, toilets, a picnic area and accessible routes. Dogs are welcome in the Country Park on a short lead but are not permitted in the nature reserve section, so it's important to stick to the marked Country Park trails when you visit with your dog.

The on-site car park is open daily from 8:30am to 5pm all year round, with a £1 parking charge payable in cash only. The combination of proper facilities, accessible paths and clear signposting makes it a practical choice for a dog-day outing when you're exploring the area around Horncastle.

The short-lead rule applies throughout your visit in the Country Park and because the nature reserve is closed to dogs, you'll want to check trail maps at the entrance to make sure you're heading in the right direction.
