St Ives Museum is a small, community-run museum in the heart of St Ives, telling the story of the town through exhibitions on fishing, mining, art and local life. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome inside the museum, which is a rare treat for dog owners who'd rather not leave their four-legged companion outside while they explore. A water bowl is provided.

Admission is £5 for adults and free for under 16s, making it an easy addition to a St Ives day out. The museum is in the town centre, close to the harbour and other dog-friendly stops, so you can fit in a sniff around the quay before or after your visit. The entrance is up steps, though a stairlift is available.

There's no public toilet on site and no parking details are provided, so plan accordingly. Check current opening hours before you visit.
