St James Tavern is a traditional pub on Romsey Road in Winchester, close to the city centre, where dogs are welcome inside. The kitchen serves food Tuesday to Saturday lunchtimes and evenings and all day Sunday. The pub is closed on Mondays. That straightforward access is the detail that turns a quick drink or meal into a genuine break for the whole group.
Dogs are most welcome in the pub's interior spaces, so there's no need to leave anyone outside while you eat. Open until 11pm Tuesday to Saturday and 10pm on Sunday, it's a useful stop whether you're finishing a day out or just need a proper sit-down with the dog after the Winchester rounds.
