The Starting Gate

The Starting Gate is a Flaming Grill pub near Colwick Country Park and the racecourse on the edge of Nottingham and dogs are welcome inside for food and drinks. It's the sort of spot that makes sense after a muddy park loop or on the way home from a day out, when everyone needs to sit down together without splitting the group.

The kitchen serves food daily until 9pm (8pm Sundays), so there's plenty of time to arrive hungry. The menu covers the usual pub favourites and the dog can settle under the table while you sort out the rest of the afternoon.
