A quick detour that turns into a "well that was actually brilliant" moment. The Stratford Big Wheel sits right by the river, lifting you (and your small or medium dog) up above the town for those postcard views — rooftops, water, and a bit of "we're on holiday now" perspective.
It's not a long experience, but that's part of the charm. You hop on, the world slows down for ten minutes, and suddenly Stratford feels like it's all laid out just for you. Ideal between walks, cafés, or when the dog needs a break that still feels like an activity. Open daily 10am–8pm during the season, typically March to September.
Pairs perfectly with a riverside wander or a loop through Bancroft Gardens. Low effort, high reward, and surprisingly memorable.

Small and medium dogs are welcome on board and must stay on a lead — bravery not required, but encouraged once you realise how high you are. Larger dogs can't ride, so they'll need to sit this one out.
