Stump Cross Caverns is a spectacular show cave attraction on the B6265 near Grassington, where ancient limestone formations and fossils draw families and geology fans year-round. The caverns themselves are underground, so your dog won't be joining the main cave tour, but the substantial above-ground visitor centre is a different story.

Dogs are welcome in the visitor centre, gift shop and Time Cafe, which means you can browse, grab a coffee and keep everyone together before or after the underground adventure. The split means one of you can head below while the other stays topside with the dog, or you can simply enjoy the visitor facilities as a dog-friendly stop in the Dales.

The attraction is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm and tickets are handled through the venue's booking system. It's a rare example of a cave attraction that's thought about dog owners properly, even if the main event stays human-only.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome in the visitor centre, gift shop and Time Cafe, but they're not allowed in the caves and caverns except for guide dogs.
