Sugarpie Honeybuns in St Leonards-on-Sea (Hastings) is a cosy coffee-and-cake café where dogs are welcome inside, so everyone can settle in together for a warm drink and something comforting. It's the kind of place that fits neatly into a morning walk plan when paws and people need a sugar and caffeine top-up.
The menu focuses on hot drinks, cakes and sweet treats, but also offers breakfast, brunch and lunch options such as quiches, soups and vegetarian dishes—perfect for a mid-walk pause or a wet-weather refuge when the seafront turns blustery. Dogs can stay close while you browse the counter, and the cosy atmosphere makes it easy to linger without fuss. The café is closed Mondays, open Tuesday to Saturday 10am–4pm (until 5pm some days), and Sunday 11am–3pm (until 4pm some days).
Your dog will behave impeccably right up until the moment a crumb hits the floor, at which point all previous training becomes a distant memory. A useful, dog-friendly stop for anyone navigating Hastings with hopeful noses in tow.
Good to know:

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle. Please keep dogs on a lead and off the seating—crumbs on the floor are fair game, cushions are not.
