Open daily from 10am to 4pm, it's a well-loved stop for walkers, cyclists and day-trippers exploring the western fells. The tearoom serves food throughout the day, with lunch available from noon until 3.30pm.
Located in Cockermouth and perfectly placed for Buttermere village visits, this is the kind of place where you can catch your breath after a lakeside loop without the usual indoor-dog awkwardness. Your dog can supervise proceedings from under the table while you tackle a scone.
