Days Out Are For Dogs Too

The Talbot Hotel is a community pub in the centre of Richmond, a few steps from the market square. Dogs are welcome inside the public bar, making it a straightforward stop when you need to keep the whole group on the right side of the door during a town-centre wander.
It's a Craft Union house with long opening hours—11am to 11pm most days, running to 1am Thursday through Saturday—so there's usually somewhere to sit even when the shops and cafés have closed. The atmosphere is busy and unpretentious, with sports on the screens and drinks offers at the bar.
Small dogs are allowed in some public areas by prior arrangement, though the eatery itself remains off-limits. If you're staying over, a handful of ground-floor bedrooms accept small dogs, so it's worth asking ahead if you need a base as well as a pint.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Free treats available
Doggy menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside the public bar. Small dogs are allowed in some public areas and selected ground-floor bedrooms by prior arrangement, but the eatery is not dog-friendly.
