Talgarth Mill

Talgarth Mill is a working watermill in Talgarth, a small market town between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye. The restored mill sits beside the medieval bridge in the town centre and offers tours, a bakery, a café and a craft shop. Dogs are welcome in the café, craft shop and garden, making it a practical stop for a day out with your four-footer.

The mill produces flour using traditional waterpower and while dogs can't join the flour-production areas, they're invited into the visitor spaces where you can browse local crafts, grab a bite or watch the wheel turn from the garden. Tours run Wednesday to Saturday between 11am and 3pm and the café and shop keep the same 9am to 4pm hours.

Talgarth itself is a handy base for exploring the Brecon Beacons and the mill adds a proper attraction to the walk-and-wander itinerary. Free parking is available in the town public car park just off the A479 roundabout, with short-stay spaces nearby in the centre.
