Tannaghmore Gardens and Animal Farm in Craigavon, just outside Armagh, is a proper family day out with your dog in tow. Spread across formal gardens, a rare-breeds animal farm, a maze, sculpture trail and plenty of picnic spots, it's the kind of place where everyone gets to stretch their legs and your dog can enjoy the full sniff-and-explore experience across extensive grounds. Dogs are welcome throughout the gardens and farm grounds under close control, so keep them on lead near the animals and you're sorted.
There's parking at both the Animal Farm entrance and at the Gardens, making it easy to start wherever suits your route. With open hours from 7:30am most days, early risers can beat the weekend rush and enjoy the quieter morning trails.
Whether it's a wander through the formal plantings, a loop of the sculpture trail or a shady picnic after exploring the maze, this is outdoor dog time done well. The rare-breeds farm adds real interest for kids and curious dogs alike and with that much space to roam, muddy paws are practically guaranteed.
