Tavern & Galley is a food-led pub on The Links near Whitley Bay seafront and dogs are welcome inside in the bar area. It's part of the SJF group, with a solid reputation for all-day dining and a useful welcome for visitors staying east of the town centre.
The bar is dog-friendly and food is served there throughout the day, so you can settle in for lunch or an early dinner with your dog under the table. The menu runs Monday to Saturday until 9pm and Sunday until 6pm, making this a practical stop before or after a coastal walk.
Open seven days a week from late morning, the pub closes at 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10pm on Sundays. There's a car park on site, which keeps the pavement-waiting shuffle to a minimum.
