The Tennants Arms is a walkers' pub in Grassington that welcomes dogs inside in the bar and snug areas. It's the kind of Dales pit stop where you can settle in after a muddy loop with a pint, bar snacks and the fire on and your dog can stretch out under the table while everyone dries off.

The pub opens from late afternoon most days and serves bistro-style evening food Wednesday to Sunday, with Saturday lunch also available. Bar snacks keep the hungry sorted outside main service hours and the snug offers a quieter corner if the bar's busy.

Grassington sits in the heart of Wharfedale and the pub is a short drive from the market square and surrounded by classic limestone dale walking country. It's closed Tuesdays, so check before you set out.
