That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

That Beer Place in Chester is the kind of place where the dog settles in and you realise… this might turn into a tasting session. Dogs are welcome inside this craft beer bar and bottle shop, so fridges humming, taps lined up, and nobody waiting on the pavement.
Inside, you'll find fridges packed with local and international beers and ciders, while the taps rotate through a thoughtful mix of styles. From crisp lagers and juicy IPAs to sours, dark beers, and the occasional lambic or mixed-fermentation oddity, there's always something worth exploring. You can sit in, take something away, or go all in with a beer flight and see where it takes you. Add in regular events like tastings, meet-the-brewer nights, and film or music evenings, and it's the sort of place that rewards curiosity.
It's a relaxed, welcoming space with staff who genuinely know their stuff and are happy to guide you through it. Not loud about it—just does beer very, very well, with paws and people together.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside and outside, where they can stretch out while you work your way through the taps. Just keep them calm, close by, and not attempting to sample the beer flights.
