The Argory is a National Trust historic estate near Armagh with proper on-lead welcome across the gardens, woodland walks and wider grounds. Dogs are also allowed into the courtyard bookshop and outdoor café areas, all on short leads and water bowls are provided at the welcome area, café and stableyard. The house itself is off-limits, but the outdoor offer is generous: riverside paths, mature woodland and a dedicated fenced dog exercise area near the River Blackwater trail past the jetty where dogs can enjoy a proper off-lead run.
It's a properly thought-through dog day out on a heritage estate. The Argory is open daily from 11am to 5pm.
There's an official National Trust car park on site with blue badge parking adjacent to visitor reception. Seasonal opening and guided tours vary, so checking ahead is sensible, but the combination of grounds, trails, dog facilities and that rare off-lead space makes this one of the stronger estate options in County Armagh.
