The Back Bar is a dog-friendly pub tucked behind the Inn on the Square in the centre of Keswick, open daily from midday to midnight. Dogs are welcome inside, which makes it a genuine all-weather stop for anyone arriving off the fells with a hungry dog and an equally hungry human in tow.
Food is served seven days a week — noon to 7pm Monday to Friday and noon to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday — so there is a decent kitchen window for post-walk meals. Dogs can stay at the table throughout, which removes the usual juggling act of finding somewhere to tie a lead while you eat. Local ales, a wide drinks selection and live sports on screen round out the offer.
Sitting just off Keswick's main square, The Back Bar is a practical, no-fuss choice when the weather turns and everyone needs feeding indoors — paws included.
