The Balavoulin

The Balavoulin is a dog-friendly pub on Grampian Road in the heart of Aviemore, serving food and drinks with dogs welcome inside. Both the bar and dining areas welcome dogs, so the whole group can settle in together for anything from lunch to dinner.

The pub opens at noon daily and runs until midnight, with lunch served from 12 until 3pm and dinner from 5 until 8pm. There’s plenty of seating, making it a handy town-centre stop when everyone needs a proper meal and a rest after a morning on the trails.

Dogs are well catered for too, with plenty of water bowls and a new menu from Sir Woofchester’s. Choices range from complete meal bowls and treats to pup pints, giving them something more exciting than watching every forkful from beneath the table. There’s also a poo-bag dispenser in the large beer garden for those moments when somebody has forgotten the essentials.

Right in the centre of Aviemore, The Balavoulin is an easy stop before or after a wander along Grampian Road or an adventure in the Cairngorms. With dogs welcome indoors, daily food service and a dedicated dog menu, it’s a reliable place to refuel without splitting the pack.
