The Beach House

The Beach House is a family-run café bar right on the seafront in Whitley Bay, with big views towards St Mary's Lighthouse and the sort of setting that does a lot of the charm work for you. Dogs are welcome inside in every area, with water bowls provided and free pup cups on offer too, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone else orders.

The offer runs across brunch, lunch, coffee and cake, so it works equally well for a lighter stop or a longer sit-down with sea air on the side. It has a bright, easy coastal feel that suits visitors especially well, with dogs properly included rather than tucked away in one designated corner.

A very handy place for those “let’s sit somewhere with a view and pretend we’re wildly organised” moments, with paws and people enjoying the sea views together and a pup cup waiting for the four-legged half of the table.
