That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Beehive Inn has that classic countryside pub feel — warm, traditional and centred around fresh, home-cooked food done properly. It’s the kind of place where the menu changes with daily specials, and everything leans hearty, familiar and satisfying rather than overworked or showy.

Inside, there’s a smaller dog-friendly dining space (around four tables), alongside a larger main dining area where dogs aren’t permitted. It keeps things calm and comfortable for those dining with dogs, but it does mean space is limited.

Dogs are welcome inside in the designated area, so you can enjoy your meal together without being outside or splitting up. It’s relaxed, welcoming and unfussy — a proper pub setting where well-behaved dogs can settle while you tuck into something good.

A great choice after a walk when everyone’s ready to sit down, eat well and take a breather. Booking is recommended if you’re planning to dine with your dog.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside in a designated dining area. This space is limited, so booking ahead is advised, and dogs should be calm and able to settle comfortably.
