That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Blue Moon in Cambridge is a proper hidden-gem pub just off Mill Road that leans more "you're in the know" than main street obvious. Dogs are welcome inside on lead, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone else grabs a pint. It's one of those places you don't stumble into by accident, but once you find it, it tends to stick.

Inside, it's all about big beer energy. Rotating taps, craft keg lines, changing ales, and a genuinely deep spirits selection (especially gin) mean there's always something new to try. Food comes in the form of proper stone-baked pizzas, and there's a strong creative pulse running through it too — live music, events, and a back-room venue space give it that slightly alternative, anything-could-happen feel, somewhere between a pub and a small gig venue.

The whole place leans relaxed, inclusive, and built for staying a while rather than just passing through. Evenings can get lively, so it suits confident pups who won't flinch at a bit of noise. A dog-friendly spot where you can grab a drink, settle in with your four-legged companion, and let the night unfold however it's going to.
