The Brickfield Micropub is a compact, characterful micropub at 80 Herne Bay Road in Swalecliffe, on the eastern edge of Whitstable. Opened in December 2023, it offers a rotating range of Kentish real ales served straight from the barrel, alongside cider, wine and spirits — an unfussy place to settle in after a coastal walk.

The single-room interior has a mix of high and low seating, brick flooring and murals by a local street artist. Opening hours run from 1pm on weekdays and noon from Friday through Sunday, with late-evening closing, making it handy for a post-walk pint or a longer visit. Regular events include bat and trap on Wednesdays and a monthly quiz.

Dogs are welcome inside, with water bowls and free treats available. There are even blankets for dogs to lie on, giving them a comfortable spot to settle while their owners enjoy a drink.
