The Brown Horse Inn

The Brown Horse Inn is a traditional pub in Winster, near Windermere, where dogs are welcome inside the bar area. The bar serves the full menu — the same food as the restaurant — so nobody has to compromise on what they order just because the dog came along.

Open Monday to Saturday from 8:30am to 11pm and Sundays until 10:30pm, it sits in the Winster Valley a short drive from Windermere and makes a solid stop for walkers and day-trippers alike. The restaurant itself is dog-free, but the bar is fully set up for dining with dogs, which is especially useful when the weather turns and a proper sit-down becomes the plan.
