The Buck Inn is a traditional coaching inn on Newbiggin in the heart of Richmond, just off the market place. Dogs are welcome inside the lounge bar, where you can settle in together over a drink and a meal. There's a public bar, a restaurant and rooms, making it a handy base or refuelling stop during a day exploring the town.

The lounge bar is the dog-friendly zone and food is served throughout the day. It's the sort of place where your dog can supervise proceedings from under the table while you work through the menu without having to leave anyone outside.

Richmond's cobbled streets, the castle and the riverside walks are all close by, so wet paws and post-sniff appetites are pretty much guaranteed. Private parking is available at the rear, which takes the sting out of town-centre manoeuvring when you've got leads and bags to juggle.
