The Buck Inn is a lively harbour-side Whitby pub with great views over St Anne’s Staith and a more classic sports-pub feel than some of the town’s older drinking spots. It suits visitors after a straightforward pint, a bit of atmosphere, and a handy location right in the thick of old-town wandering. There is an easy, no-fuss energy to it that works well for a casual stop rather than a long, ceremonious meal. A practical choice for dog-friendly Whitby pottering when the humans want harbour views, decent drinks, and somewhere pleasantly unfancy to pause.
