That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

A tiny, tucked-away King Street spot that feels like you've wandered into a slice of somewhere else entirely. The Cherry Pit is all about one thing — pie — and leans into it fully, with a menu of sweet, American-style bakes served alongside good coffee and a side of nostalgia.

Inside, it's got that retro diner energy — a little 1950s, a little record shop — with vinyl lining the walls and a soundtrack to match. It's small, slightly hidden, and very easy to miss… but once you're in, it has that "we've found a place" feel that turns a quick stop into a sit-down.

This is more of a treat stop than a full meal — slices of cherry, pecan, pumpkin, and whatever's just come out that day — often selling out early, which tells you everything you need to know. A relaxed, dog-friendly little find where you can pause, share something sweet, and let the world drift past the window for a bit.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside on lead, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle while someone else eats all the pie.
