The Coffee House is a handy dog-friendly café on Millennium Place in the heart of Durham, open daily from 9am to 5pm. Dogs are welcome inside for coffee and a bite to eat, making it a practical stop between the theatre, library and the rest of the city centre.
Settle in with your dog at the table while you work through the menu, whether you're after a flat white and a toastie or a slice of cake to split the afternoon. The café has a relaxed, unfussy feel and staff are happy to see well-behaved dogs alongside their people.
It's tucked into the Millennium Place visitor precinct beside the Gala area, so you're a short lead-walk from the rest of Durham's shops and attractions. No parking on site, but it's an easy pause if you're already out on foot in the centre.
