The Courts Garden is a National Trust garden at Holt, near Bradford-on-Avon and a lovely day out for garden-loving dog owners within easy reach of Wells. Dogs on short leads are welcome through most of the grounds, including the water gardens, herbaceous borders and arboretum, making it one of the more generous National Trust sites for four-paws access.
The formal planting and tranquil water features mean plenty of gentle pottering for you both, though the kitchen garden and forest school area remain dog-free to protect those spaces. The garden opens daily from 10:30 to 17:00, with refreshments available between 11:00 and 16:00.
Free parking is available in Holt Village Hall car park, a short walk from the garden entrance. This is a proper full-length garden visit rather than a quick stroll, so worth allowing time for a proper sniff-and-wander around the grounds.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Free treats available

Dog Policy:
Dogs on short leads are welcome in most areas of the garden, including the water gardens, borders and arboretum. The kitchen garden and forest school area are dog-free, except for assistance dogs.
