The Cove is a memorable Robin Hood's Bay café and venue for dog owners looking for sea views, relaxed food and drink, and a stop that feels genuinely special. Set inside a converted chapel by the sea wall, it pairs a striking location with breakfast, brunch, lunch, and drinks, making it a lovely option after beach time or village wandering.

The terrace and coastal outlook bring plenty of atmosphere, while the whole place feels calm, scenic, and just dramatic enough to suit Robin Hood's Bay perfectly. Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone else orders.

For visitors with a dog, it is the sort of place where a simple coffee stop can become a much longer pause. Excellent for salty-air resets, scenic people-watching, and a dog keeping a close eye on gull-related developments.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle. Keep dogs settled around other guests, especially near food and sea-view tables, and save the loud gull commentary for outdoors.
