The Crafty Wilson Ale House has a similarly cosy, community-led micropub feel, with real ale and cider doing much of the heavy lifting and a setting that seems built for regulars, conversation and low-key drinks rather than big-night-out chaos. It feels like the kind of place where the appeal is in the atmosphere as much as the beer, with a simple, traditional pub energy that works well for a slower stop. Good for dog people after a pint somewhere with proper local bones.
