Set right on Abbey Green in the heart of Bath, this historic pub is one of those places you almost stumble into mid-wander and end up staying longer than planned. Just moments from the Roman Baths and Abbey, it sits right on the city’s main sightseeing trail, making it an easy stop between exploring and settling in.

Inside, it’s a traditional Georgian pub with a cosy, slightly tucked-away feel, centred around a main bar with adjoining rooms, a conservatory and a rear courtyard for when you want a bit more space. The building itself dates back to the 1600s, giving it that proper old-pub character you can feel the second you step in.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside (main bar and courtyard), making it a reliable stop for a warm reset after navigating Bath’s busy streets.
