The East Kent

The East Kent is a town-centre pub on Oxford Street in Whitstable, where dogs are welcome inside alongside food and drinks. Under new management since summer 2025, the pub serves a full menu with small plates, cocktails and Sunday roasts, and keeps opening hours Tuesday to Sunday — a handy stop for visitors exploring the harbour and seafront.

Whether it's a proper meal, a Sunday roast or a quick drink after a coastal walk, the dog-friendly policy covers the main indoor area. Closed Mondays, open from midday the rest of the week, with later closing on Fridays and Saturdays.
