The Embankment

The Embankment is a large Castle Rock pub right by Trent Bridge, serving food and sport in equal measure. Dogs are welcome inside across the pub areas, so match days, riverside walks and quick city stops all work without leaving anyone on the pavement. Food runs from midday to 8pm Monday and Tuesday, stretching to 9pm Wednesday through Saturday and wrapping up at 5pm on Sundays.

The pub stays open until 10pm weekdays, 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays and closes at 7pm on Sundays. There's on-site parking with 24 hours free if you register at the bar using the tablet – handy when you're juggling leads and bags.
