That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Folly Restaurant is one of Oxford’s prettiest riverside stops and feels particularly rewarding after a waterside walk. Overlooking the river and offering dining inside or out on a floating terrace, it pairs the setting with fresh, seasonal food and a slightly more special-occasion atmosphere than a standard city café or pub.
For dog owners, it makes an excellent pause when you want the stop itself to feel like part of the day out rather than simply a practical break. Scenic, elegant and unmistakably Oxford, it is very easy to linger here.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are allowed in the bar area, where food is also served. Just be sure to give the restaurant a heads up in your booking notes and they will find you a nice table for you and your dog to settle.
