The Fox Goes Free is a traditional country inn near Chichester, five miles from Goodwood, where dogs are welcome inside the bar and dining areas. The menu runs Monday to Thursday from 12pm until 2:30pm and 6:15pm to 9pm, with slightly later evening service at weekends and the pub pours local ales alongside the full food offering.
It's open daily from 11am (midday on Sundays), making it a practical mid-walk refuel or post-Goodwood debrief with the whole gang in tow. Food is served in the dog-friendly areas, so your table supervisor can stay close while you tackle the menu.
Rooms are available if you're planning a longer stay in the South Downs and the village setting keeps things peaceful between walks and pub hours. The kitchen closes at 8:30pm on Sundays.
