That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Frog on the Bine is a small but much-loved microbar right in the centre of Buxton — the kind of place that feels like a find the moment you step inside.

Run by a local couple, it focuses on independent craft, with rotating cask and keg lines, interesting bottles and a drinks board that keeps things fresh without trying too hard.

Downstairs is cosy and social, while upstairs gives you a little more space to settle in. It’s got that easy, conversation-led atmosphere where people chat, recommendations flow, and one drink quietly turns into another.

There’s no full kitchen, so this is one for drinks rather than dining — perfect for a pre-dinner stop, a post-walk wind-down, or an easy evening when Buxton starts to feel properly cosy.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside, with water bowls and treats available to keep them settled while you relax. Best suited to well-behaved dogs given the cosy layout and busier peak times.
