That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The The Fuzzy Dog Bakery is one of those places that makes you realise your dog is about to have a better social life than you. Tucked into Whitby’s dog-loving streets, it’s a full-blown bakery experience designed entirely for four-legged visitors, and they take it seriously in the best possible way.

Inside, you’ll find water bowls at just the right height (no awkward slurping angles here), plus a thoughtful range of treats covering grain-free, low-fat, raw diet and single-protein options. They even do “taste testers” so your dog can approve the goods before you commit, which feels like a level of service most humans don’t get. Then there’s the weekly rotation of wuffins, woofles, pupcakes and doggy brownies… and yes, they make proper birthday cakes too.

It’s warm, it’s welcoming, and it’s very clear that dogs aren’t just allowed, they’re the whole point. Expect tails wagging, indecisive treat choosing, and at least one moment where you realise you’re just the wallet on legs 🐾

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside, which makes this a brilliant Whitby stop for dog treats, biscuit shopping, and a bit of tail-wagging holiday energy. Best for calm dogs who can browse politely without trying to self-serve.
