The Garden Cafe in Hereford is a vegetarian café where dogs are welcome inside, so everyone can settle in together for coffee and a bite without the pavement-waiting shuffle.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 3.30pm, it's a useful mid-town stop for light meals, cake and a breather when plans need recalibrating or the weather turns. The menu is fully vegetarian, which keeps things simple if you're after something fresh and straightforward.

Closed Sunday and Monday, but on open days it's the kind of place that works for a quick coffee or a longer sit-down, with your dog beside you and nobody left outside hoping for scraps.
