That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Garnet is a pub on Norwich Market Place where dogs are welcome inside. It's a proper city-centre stop with a working bar, food served throughout the week and dog treats kept behind the counter for passing crew members. The setting is lively and central, right on the edge of the market.

You can bring market food in if you fancy mixing your own shopping haul with a pint, or stick to what's served at the pub. Either way, your dog can settle in beside you while the city buzz continues outside.

Open Monday to Thursday noon till 11pm, Friday and Saturday noon till 1am and Sunday noon till 10pm. It's the sort of place where a mid-wander pause turns into a proper sit-down and nobody minds a lead looped round a chair leg.
