That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Geldart in Cambridge is a proper backstreet find tucked away off Mill Road, where dogs are welcome inside and the whole place feels like stepping into someone's slightly eccentric, very welcoming living room. Music memorabilia lines the walls, vinyl menus add character, and the hum of conversation makes it feel instantly lived-in.
Inside, it splits between cosy real-ale pub and laid-back dining space, with an open fire for colder days and a courtyard garden when the weather behaves. Expect well-kept beers, bold pub food including their well-known "hot rock" dishes, and the occasional live music night that lifts the whole place a notch.
It's the kind of place where you come for a pint and end up staying because something's happening — music, food, or just the general buzz of it all. Dogs slot in easily here too, part of the background rhythm rather than an afterthought, making it one of those "wish we'd found this sooner" pubs.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside on lead, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle while the humans enjoy a pint and hot rock.
