The George & Heart House feels like one of Margate’s more characterful all-rounders, combining a cosy pub, restaurant, private garden and boutique rooms inside a restored Grade II listed former coaching inn. The overall mood is warm, stylish and full of personality, but still rooted in pub comfort rather than hotel stiffness. A very good choice when you want somewhere that feels special without becoming too polished to relax in.
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside at The George & Heart House, where a relaxed dog can happily join you for food or drinks. Keep them on a lead, close to the table and away from busy indoor dining areas.
