The Golden Slipper

The Golden Slipper feels like one of York's proper old-pub survivors, the kind of place where the floors have stories, the corners have opinions and nothing feels overly polished. Tucked along Goodramgate, it sits right in the middle of old York but manages to dodge the conveyor-belt feel, leaning instead into good beer, quiz nights and that "stay for one, stay for three" energy.
