The Green Man is a traditional pub on Scotgate in Stamford, a short hop from the main town centre and handy after a wander around the stone streets. Dogs are welcome inside in the snug, so you can stay tucked in together whatever the weather. Food is served Wednesday to Sunday, with full lunch and dinner service at weekends and evening plates midweek.
The snug is part of the operation, so your dog can settle under the table while you eat. Opening hours run from 4pm Tuesday to Thursday and from midday Friday to Sunday.
It's a proper local with a defined dog corner, useful if you want a quiet pint and a bite without worrying about where the lead's going. The snug keeps things straightforward—no fuss, just a welcoming spot to sit down with your dog and let the day slow down a bit.
