The Habit is one of those York venues that manages to feel historic, lively and slightly tucked away all at once. Set in a 16th-century building on Goodramgate, it mixes café-bar comfort with live music, craft drinks and one of the city’s best rooftop views of York Minster. The atmosphere leans warm and vibrant rather than formal, making it an easy choice for coffee, drinks or an evening with a bit more energy. It has that rare knack of feeling both central and hidden, which always adds a little extra charm.
