That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Harbour Arms is a family-run micropub with one of the best simple sales pitches in the area: real ales, ciders and sweeping views across Margate harbour. That combination gives it a classic seaside-micropub charm — compact, conversational and very much centred around the drinks and the view.

It’s the kind of place you perch, chat and watch the harbour shift around you, with that easy, local feel that makes a quick stop linger a little longer.

Dogs are warmly welcomed too, with water bowls, free treats and a team who are always happy to make a fuss — adding to that friendly, no-frills atmosphere that makes this place such a gem.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside at The Harbour Arms, where a compact micropub layout means calm dogs work best. Please keep them close to you, out of the walkway and on their best harbour-side behaviour.
