Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

The Harbour Garden Café sits on Whitstable's South Quay, right on the working waterfront, and dogs are welcome inside — so the whole group can settle in together for lunch or dinner without anyone waiting on the pavement. That indoor welcome is particularly useful when the harbour breeze turns sharp or the day calls for a proper sit-down rather than a takeaway on the wall.
The kitchen serves a seafood-led menu — lobster, oysters, crab and catch of the day among the highlights. The café opens Tuesday to Sunday, with food service until 4pm midweek, 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 5pm on Sundays. Closed Mondays.
For a Whitstable day out with a dog, it ticks the boxes neatly: harbour views, a proper meal, and no need to split the group. The dog can keep a hopeful nose pointed at the menu while everyone else gets on with the seafood.
Good to know:

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside the restaurant, so nobody has to do the harbour-wall waiting shuffle while everyone else tackles the seafood.
